Nancy’s Whole
Wheat and
Flax Seed Bread Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 3 T packed brown sugar
- 2 T Earth Balance
- 1 egg replacer (3 T water and 1 ½ tspn
Ener-G egg
replacer)
- 2 ½ cup less 3 T whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup bread flour
- 1/3 cup ground flax seed
- 2 T dry soy milk
- 3 T vital wheat gluten
- 2 teaspoons yeast
Directions
- Add first 5 ingredients to the bread machine pan.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients, except the
yeast,
on top of the liquids. Do
not mix.
- Carefully add the 2 teaspoons of yeast. Select the whole wheat, 1
½ pound cycle on
your bread machine.
