Stewed Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled and sliced thick
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 T cornstarch, dissolved in ¼ cup water

Preparation

      1. Place prepared apples in medium skillet or saucepan.
      2. Pour apple juice and brown sugar on top of apples.  Stir.
      3. Heat apples over medium heat until the apples begin to “give off” their juice and soften slightly.
      4. Add Cornstarch and water mixture to apples.  Lower heat and stir until sauce thickens.  Serve immediately.
