Spaghetti Sauce with TVP


Ingredients
  • 1 C Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 2 small cans tomato paste
  • 2 C water
  • 1 T chil powder
  • 1/2 tspn crushed red pepper
  • Garlic salt, to taste
Preparation

    1. Add 1 cup boiling water to TVP. Let stand until absorbed.
    2. Saute onion in small sauce pan with a little water until soft.
    3. Combine all ingredients, heat to boiling, turn down and let simmer for several hours.
